Never fear, rock climbing walls will definitely be available with your burgers and brews. More details of "breastaurant" chain Twin Peaks' forthcoming Strip venture have been uncovered. Noted for beer served at 29 degrees and the pulchritude and plaid promoting outfits of their Lumberjill waitstaff, the Harmon Corner restaurant will feature patio dining, rock climbing wall contests and TVs everywhere you turn.
The entrance is located on the second floor of Harmon Corner, next door to the Goretorium, the year round haunted house attraction. On entering the 14,200-square-foot, 400-seat restaurant, guests won't fail to notice the climbing wall that rises up through space. Technically only two floors, a mezzanine creates the impression of a third floor.
The 39-feet high rock climbing gimmick, with two parallel routes, extends upward through a ceiling cut-out. A buzzer will be placed at the top of each peak to encourage competitive race climbing.
Pushing the outdoorsy mountain theme, swinging wooden gates will guard the two entrances. Inside, there are plenty of wood trims, knotty pine and mounted garage doors. Lighting includes a mixture of antler and twig chandeliers and pine cone sconces completing the fake rustic outdoors look.
A large center bar dominates the main dining area and a curved stairwell leads you upstairs to a mezzanine with tables and booths. The third floor has another bar, two dining sections and the 737-square-foot patio with Las Vegas Boulevard views.
The beer-centric focus necessitates a large keg cooler vault and plenty of mug frosters, to accompany a menu created under the umbrella of "hearty man food."
Televisions are everywhere, 87 in total, including one in each booth. Behind the bar they are stacked in groups of 10, including five 80-inch sets.
A merchandise area by the hostess station will serve up "Rack Addict" T-shirts and the 2013 Twin Peaks girl calendars, just in time for the projected January opening.
