While details on Hakkasan's Beverly Hills debut are still influx, here now new intel on the haute Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant's Las Vegas launch. Word on the street is that Angel Management Group (Pure, LAX, Social House) has partnered with Hakkasan management company Tasameem Group to open in the MGM Grand alongside AMG’s forthcoming nightclub Pink Elephant on New Year’s Eve 2013. The latter will take over Studio 54, which closes in early February.
In other Vegas news, the Cosmopolitan has stated in their past two quarterly SEC filings that they plan to open “an approximately 65,000 square-foot, 1,800 seat showroom, an additional 19 condominium and/or hotel style units in the East Tower and a restaurant (the “Future Phases”) will be completed at a later date as management deems appropriate based on various factors, including market conditions.” Rumor is that this restaurant “space has been nearly completed and ready to go for a while” and that they are exploring Chinese concepts “to better market to Asian customers.” ?
