Chris Herrin is plugging along on his Meat & Three, a Southern-style cafeteria that plans to offer three sides with an order of meat in Henderson. On Sunday, the menu board went up.
Herrin said on Facebook that he had to postpone the walkthrough by the Southern Nevada Health District. "We came up short on getting equipment. So sorry. When you have nothing it takes time."
Herrin already has Bread & Butter in the same shopping complex. Although he's not hitting his Oct. 1 anticipated opening of Meat & Three, expect to find beef brisket, fried chicken and Salisbury steak along with scalloped mashed potatoes, hushpuppies and fried artichokes on the menu. Bread & Butter will supply the biscuits and cornbread. Also anticipate a menu of 12 puddings.
Once complete, Herrin says the restaurant can seat 40 at capacity.
