The Back of the House Brawl gets back at it this Saturday night with a battle with three chefs and a new addition, a cock fight between two bartenders. It all takes place at Tommy Rocker's.
First up, the Back of the House Brawl that pits chef Todd Harrington of Central at Caesars Palace against chef Chris Bulen of Andre's at Monte Carlo and chef Josh Smith, formerly at Estiatorio Milos at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Since Smith is visiting from out of town, only Harrington and Bulen will cook up bones-inspired dishes for sale on the food trucks from 1 to 2 a.m. Basically, the two will create $6 dishes made of anything on a bone. Each will sell their dishes from the food trucks participating in the Saturday Night Truck Stop with proceeds going to the Lili Claire Foundation of Nevada.
Then the three chefs will compete with a mystery basket in an Iron Chef-style brawl on the food trucks. Whole Foods donates the five ingredients featured for the evening.
The cock fight features J.R. Starkus from RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay battling Fernie Davidson from Pour Vous in Los Angeles. Both bartenders will create one drink from mystery ingredients.
Food trucks Lola D's, Redneck Kitchen, Sheff's Kitchen, Dragon Grill and Pinkberry will also be at the event. The Saturday Night Truck Stop, where the food trucks serve up their fares, starts at 8 p.m.
