Honey Salt's Transformation Is Nearly Complete

The changes are coming along quickly at Honey Salt, the new restaurant opening in time for Halloween from the first couple of Las Vegas' culinary scene — Society Cafe's Kim Canteenwalla and his wife, über-restaurant maven Elizabeth Blau. They're taking over the former Nora's Wine and Osteria space in Rampart Commons.

Already the former mural that stood on the wall at Nora's has been replaced with a brick wall that will be filled with artwork. Today the banquettes in a dark green should be installed.

The former bar was removed and now features a wall of mirrors that Blau says she has been collecting for four months. At the entrance, bookcases will greet guests.

Honey Salt's bar sits to the left of the entrance and plans to be stained a darker wood on the back bar. A marble top sits on the bar with jaunty green lights hanging down.

The former awkward side room of Nora's was opened up to become the lounge area.

At the back, the wine room is a bit smaller but more open with access to the kitchen. The exhibition kitchen still showcases a pizza oven, one of the few remnants of the former restaurant.

Honey Salt is still on target to open by Halloween.
