Look for a Whirlwind of Deejay Movement in 2013

With Hakkasan's plans to open next April comes news that some of the biggest deejays playing Vegas may be leaving the Wynn Las Vegas stable of talent.

Calvin Harris and Deadmau5 are among the mega-deejays with exclusive deals at the Wynn nightclubs itching to get out of their contracts to play at other clubs, the New York Post reports.

Wynn shelled out $25 million to lock talent such as Tiesto, David Guetta and Afrojack in exclusive deals, but those contracts prevent the deejays from performing at other clubs.

A club insider tells Page Six that, "They are trying to get out of their contracts because they don't want the restrictions," while other venues "are trying to make plays for these artists, and they might be successful in getting them."

The name on everyone's tongue — Hakkasan with its 75,000-square-foot restaurant, nightclub and lounge going in at the MGM Grand.

Stay tuned as new contracts are announced as the year wraps up.
