Former chicken restauranteur and chronic clock wearer William Drayton Jr., who most know better as Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav, was arrested early this morning on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence.
Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 7800 block of Via Ventura Court, according to spokeswoman Laura Meltzer of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The caller said she had been involved in a physical altercation with her fiance, and afterward, the caller's fiance threatened her 17-year-old son with a knife.
Following an investigation, Flav was arrested and taken to the Clark County Detention Center, held on $23,000 bail. He makes his first court appearance tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.
Flav's House of Chicken shut down last month, but he still runs a concession stand decked out in his memorabilia at Blondies Sports Bar & Grill at the Miracle Mile Shops.
