Red Square To Bounce Back In Short Order

The vodka will barely have time to lose its chill. The refreshing of soon-to-shutter Red Square at Mandalay Bay will be revealed by the end of December. Red Square's swift sprucing, including upgrades to the kitchen area, begins when the restaurant closes on Nov. 18.

China Grill and Red, White and Blue will also close the same day, but face more physical upgrades and remain dormant until next year.

The Light Group's management takeover of the three restaurants has already revealed Red, White and Blue will become chef Brain Massie's casual American bistro, Citizens Kitchen & Bar. Citizens is projecting a January premiere date. Akira Back's plans for the China Grill space have yet to be announced.

Red Square's focus of small sharing-plates and a broad vodka selection designed to complement the post-Soviet themed decor, will remain unchanged.
