Sad news for fans of the French onion soup at The Range Steakhouse at Harrah's Las Vegas. The restaurant plans to close Nov. 11 to make way for a Ruth's Chris Steak House. The new restaurant plans to open in the first quarter of 2013.
Ruth's Chris plans to serve USDA Prime steaks, appetizers and desserts as well as wines and hand-crafted cocktails.
The new restaurant, which will take over the second-floor The Range space, will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and two private dining rooms enclosed in glass. The 400-seat restaurant will feature a "rich yet modern setting showcasing classic Las Vegas images overlaid with the New Orleans color and flavor from the historic restaurant's roots." Designers Interplan LLC have incorporated a multitude of interesting fabrics and design elements to create an inviting space.
This marks the third Ruth's Chris in a Harrah's resort nationwide.
Both former Ruth's Chris locations in Vegas closed in 2011.
