The food court king of Las Vegas is marking his territory on Harmon Corner. Frank Bonnano president of Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group is bringing Bonanno's New York Pizzeria restaurant, bar and grab-and-go venture to the ground floor of the retail complex.
It joins Twin Peaks, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Rockin' Taco Mexican Grill and resides on the same level as the urban design concept Metro McDonald's. The pizza joint completes Harmon Corner's declared tenancy roster. It had been included in the first round of listed leasees.
Bonnano oversees 47 locations in the Las Vegas area, including franchises such as Häagen-Dazs, Nathan's Famous, and Johnny Rockets. He originated his own chains of Bonanno's Pizza and San Gennaro Grill and operates the more up-market Italian restaurant project,Trattoria Reggiano at the Venetian.
Bonnano is also reportedly creating a new food court at Bally's Las Vegas and remodeling the existing food court at Mandalay Bay. Both are projected to debut sometime in the first half of 2013. No timetable has been offered for the opening of his latest version of the Bonnano pizzeria chain, which has smaller variants at the Flamingo Las Vegas, Luxor, MGM Grand and Palace Station.
