Wondering where to party between the closing of the now-shuttered Krave at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and the opening of Krave Masssive? A temporary solution is being created on the ground floor of Neonopolis.
Between Nov. 2 and Dec. 8, Krave creator Kelly Murphy is hosting a tented nightclub in the courtyard of Downtown's Neonopolis, with room for 505 revelers. That's a dramatically more intimate venue than the recently shuttered Krave nightclub.
The temporary set-up will include a stage, dance floor and bar under the 40-by-60-foot tent plus a large smoking patio. Running on consecutive Fridays and Saturdays, the evenings begin at 9 p.m. The tent has inspired an "Under The Big Top" theme, with circus performers joining their usual roster of dancers.
On the floor above the courtyard, Murphy's Drink and Drag continues its combination of bowling and drag queen hostesses and construction work advances on the creation of the 80,000-square-foot Krave Massive, which intends to become the world's largest gay nightclub. A New Year's Eve opening is scheduled for the complex.
