Gordon Ramsay's takeover of Las Vegas continues with the opening of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace, now with an official soft open date of Dec. 10.
Gossip columnist Robin Leach unveiled more details on the restaurant's decor, uniforms and more.
Allison Leach, a Hollywood costume designer for Mad Men who created the uniforms over at Gordon Ramsay Steak, will be behind the look of the "lingerie waist-cinchers and scandalous London tabloid newspaper headlines and stories overprinted on various materials" that the servers will wear. He says, "The bareback of the checkered living art dresses is (modestly) revealing."
The restaurant will spill onto the casino floor with a patio "behind historic columns, metal fences and bollards, all with an Underground feel."
The shouty chef's "logo that will be plastered discreetly everywhere: It's Gordon's actual British bulldog Rumpole (named after the U.K. TV series of a barrister in the Old Bailey top court of the British Empire) daubed in Union Jack colors."
Another new tidbit, aside from the British red phone booths hanging over the Telephone Bar, a "psychedelic, striped London taxicab."
Other details include a series of rooms decked out in "Carnaby Street stripes leading to walls of metal barrels that steer diners to the Stripe Lounge, the Skyline Room and the Buckingham Room sectors."
Aside from Rumpole, Ramsay is hiding Royal Family crowns in the furnishings.
Ramsay plans to be in town for the opening of the gastropub.
