Come tomorrow, Vegas will have a new Japanese curry restaurant in the middle of all the best Japanese restaurants in town. Curry Zen opens in the same strip mall as Raku, Monta and Kabuto.
Each dish starts with homemade curry in a vegetable-based broth for $4.50. The base broth is made with garam masala, a blend of 10 different spices often used in north India and south Asian countries.
Then start adding toppings such as croquette, pork cutlet, Kurobuta sausage, boiled egg, cheese and more. Each topping runs under $3. Other dishes on the menu include a hayashi rice and curry dog along with desserts such as annin tofu and tiramisu.
