Behold, the logo for Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, the shouty chef's gastropub that plans to open Dec. 10 at Caesars Palace. The 7,613-square-foot property that has a projected construction value of $815,000 will feature a logo that combines the Union Jack on top of Ramsay's bulldog, Rumpole, named for the U.K. TV series of a barrister in the Old Bailey top court of the British Empire.
The logo will be a dominate theme throughout the restaurant, plastered everywhere discreetly. Last week, Caesars Palace swapped out ads for Old Homestead Steakhouse and Mesa Grill on the pub's plywood for a coming soon tease ad for the gastropub with the new logo.
This isn't the first time Ramsay has used the Union Jack as decor. It adorns the ceiling of Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas. EDG Architecture & Design, responsible for the decor there as well as the new digs, painted the Union Jack incorrectly, which led to an overnight redo at the restaurant over the summer.
When complete, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill plans to serve up Ramsay's take on British pub fare with dishes such as fish and chips, roasted chicken and bangers and mash. The restaurant will also offer craft and microbrews from around the world, as well as 40 beers on tap.
