Several new nuggets of news came out about Andrea's, the restaurant taking over the Switch space at Encore Las Vegas. Many of the details about the space that plans to serve Asian fare and named for Steve Wynn's British wife Andrea Hissom Wynn Eater Vegas revealed nearly a month ago.
First up, the restaurant plans to open Dec. 28.
Next, Andrea's plans to offer what it's calling "vibe dining" that combines "a restaurant and nightlife experience into one environment." That means the restaurant will be a part of the Encore Beach Club/Surrender Nightclub "entertainment complex."
That means Wynn Las Vegas resident deejay Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia fame was named "musical chef" in charge of Andrea's music program. Resident DJs will also spin sets after 11 p.m. as the lounge turns into another section of Surrender Nightclub.
The 6,194-square-foot restaurant will feature a lounge, a step-up dining area designed for diners "to see and be seen," hexagon-shaped tables for larger groups, private dining enclaves and a 2,100-square-foot terrace overlooking Surrender Nightclub's outdoor space.
Cocktails here will be named for resident deejays at the resort, while the food here is described as "less formatted than the traditional three-course model." Teased dishes include platters of meats, seafood and noodles, sushi and dim sum.
Andrea's will be open seven nights a week from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m.
