Charcoal Room Wine Dinner; Fall Menu at Comme Ca

SANTA FE STATION — The Charcoal Room hosts a wine pairing dinner on Thursday, Nov. 15, featuring wines from Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. Chef Johannes Bernau created a five-course menu for $79.99 that starts with a chef-inspired cocktail with an eggnog sphere in a spoon. The first course features truffled mushroom soup with fried shallots paired with Canoe Ridge Chardonnay, followed by sautéed shrimp with puttanesca over angel hair pasta with Indian Wells Merlot. Next comes a palate cleanser of nitro sorbet a la mode. The third course offers seared duck breast with caramelized pearl onions and roasted fingerling potatoes paired with Ethos Syrah, followed by cold smoked filet mignon with charred Brussels sprouts and Col Solare. COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS — Comme Ça has new specialty dining and cocktail menus for fall. Chefs David Myers and Brian Howard created the fall menu that includes a glazed lamb shank, buttermilk fried frog legs, duck confit, seared foie gras, endive and pear salad, brick-roasted chicken, braised beef short rib and crispy pork belly. New cocktails include the Pumpkin Patch, featuring whiskey, pumpkin purée, maple, lemon, ginger and candied pecan garnish; Tea Time with gin, honey herb syrup, lemon, pear and an Earl Grey float; and the Apple Sizzle made with bourbon, apple, spiced simple syrup, lemon, and ginger and served in a smoked snifter with a flamed orange twist.
