So, not much new news came out of the official announcement that Light Club from Cirque de Soleil and The Light Group is opening in the former Rumjungle space at Mandalay Bay. Yes, it takes the same name of the nightclub that opened in 2001 in Vegas at the Bellagio. And since September, Eater Vegas has been dishing the revealing details here and here.
But there is a new video about the 38,000-square-foot nightclub that will feature theatrics, deejays and performers, "creating a unique, memorable event each night."
Guy Laliberté, the founder of Cirque du Soleil, says, "The nightclub will serve as a laboratory, very much like our special events and projects have done in the past, for different and new artistic possibilities," in a press release.
Light Club follows the trend of theatrics and nightclubs coming together that started with The Act opening at the Shoppes at the Palazzo at the end of October and She coming to the former Beso/Eve space at Crystals on New Year's Eve. Light Club plans to open next March.
