With phase one alone costing $50 million, it's clear that the Palms is undergoing a massive facelift. Their nightlife operations are certainly getting on the act with Moon Nightclub rumored to become a two-story mega club once Rain's refresh is completed after the first of the year. Those looking to experience the next offering from the N9NE Group need not wait all that long as the group is planning to open an entirely new venue called Scarlet by mid-December.
Scarlet plans to make a nod to the art of mixology movement and will be housed just of the casino floor in the former Stuff Store (next to N9NE Steakhouse). Expect the 200-square-foot space to deliver a speakeasy vibe. As far as aesthetics think contemporary with some notable red accents.
Francesco Lafranconi will be helming the cocktail program and he certainly has a solid pedigree. He currently serves as the executive director of mixology and spirits educator for Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada and has tenured at the helm of some of the world's leading hotel bars including The Gleneagles in Scotland, The Palace Hotel in Gstaadt, Switzerland, The Intercontinental Hotel in Cologne, Germany, and Harry's Bar at Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy. He was also named mixologist of the year by Nightclub and Bar Magazine.
