Here's a look at the gelato shop that will be part of the second outpost of Bouchon Bakery opening at the Venetian. The double-decker location will feature Thomas Keller's baked goods on the first floor and gelatos on the second floor. Both sit right on the Strip, next to the Walgreens and at the base of the bridge from the Mirage.
You can also get a glimpse of the blueprints for the location, still in the plywood phase with an anticipated opening date of this weekend.
The location will compete with Zio Gelato, another gelato shop opening just down the hallway from this new Bouchon Bakery on the first floor.
Bouchon Bakery's new 540-square-foot space will serve as a bakery for the restaurant as well as show off Keller's interpretations of childhood sweets such as Nutter Butters and Ho-ho's.
