Christina Wilson, the chef who won Hell's Kitchen and a $250,000 a year job at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas, just put her mark on the menu there. She just unveiled a new Hell's Kitchen Limited Edition Tasting Menu in honor of her season 10 win. The five-course, prix fixe menu includes dishes that helped her win the show over 18 competitors.
The limited edition tasting menu starts with an amuse-bouche featuring the Scotch egg accented by Berkshire pork sausage and red wine-braised cabbage. With the first course, Wilson serves a hamachi crudo topped with Iberico ham gelée, American caviar and truffle crème fraîche.
Wilson honed her Hell's Kitchen chops with the scallop risotto, a dish many contestants found intimidating. She serves the dish with diver scallops with parmesan and herb risotto.
Then comes Ramsay's signature dish, beef Wellington, prepared medium-rare. The meal ends with caramel apple cake topped with salted peanut ice cream, apple gastrique and cinnamon anglaise.
A couple notes on the tasting menu. Everyone at the table must order it. The first 1,000 diners who order the special menu nab a souvenir folder that includes the menu and a signed photo of Gordon Ramsay, executive chef Kevin Hee and Wilson. The menu starts at $145 per person with a wine pairing available for an additional $75.
