Las Vegas has its fair share of crazy cocktails. During Eater Cocktail Week, we'll be sharing some of the best submissions from readers. Have a suggestion? Shoot us an email or drop a note in the comments.
What makes the Orient Express such a crazy cocktail? It uses a sous vide technique to infuse all the flavors into this Asian version of a Manhattan.
RM Seafood lead bartender JR Starkus created the concoction with Yamazaki 12-Year Single Malt Japanese Whisky, Chinese 5-Spice sous-vided Dolin Rouge Sweet Vermouth and a few drops of house made Asian pear bitters. He garnishes the drink with an orange swath and a single Star anise.
