EA Sports Bar is no longer in the game. The joint enterprise between the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and video game producers EA Sports has quietly dissolved. When first opened in April, the adult gaming lounge featured a menu of Sony PlayStation 3 consoles, Italian leather sofas facing the the Strip and a 1930s era foosball table. Within three months, a long bar was removed, leaving the gaming consoles as the main attraction.
Now, after seven months, EA Sports have vacated the resort and the space has been re-branded as Side Line, with the tag line "Where Your Game Is On." While the bar has not returned, Cosmo's website refers to the lounge as a sports bar. The video games, sofas and bean bags remain, but the man cave and dude-centric perspective has been dropped and the venue is advertised as "all ages welcome." EA Sports still has a floating lounge aboard Carnival Glory, a ship within Carnival Cruise Line fleet.
