Buckle Up, Kids. Here Comes VDKA, Opening Dec. 28

Lookie here. There's far more going on behind the prettiest plywood in town than just Andrea's, the new Asian restaurant taking over the Switch space at Encore Las Vegas. Now comes word that VDKA will also open in the space, creating a martini bar with more than 150 flavored vodkas behind the bar.

Owner Sean Christie — whose Las Vegas Nightlife Group operates Surrender Nightclub, Encore Beach Club, Society Cafe and Botero — says VDKA will feature Las Vegas' largest selection of rare and unique brand flavor-infused vodkas.

Franceso Lafranconi, the executive director of mixology and spirits educator for Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, is creating the cocktail menu. Also, look for the city's only "Shock-A-Vodka" speed draft system keeping all of the vodkas chilled on tap.

Some of the anticipated vodkas include Stoli Elit Pristine Water, CLIX Vodka, Jean Marc XO and Beluga Noble Gold. Citrus, savory, spicy, confectionary and exotic flavored vodkas will include tangerine, bacon, bloody Mary, basil, cinnamon, cucumber, espresso, peanut butter, red grape hibiscus, chocolate coconut, maple syrup, whipped cream, sugar cookie and more. 

Both VDKA and Andrea's, an Asian restaurant, anticipate a Dec. 28 opening. Andrea's plans to offer "vibe dining" that combines "a restaurant and nightlife experience into one environment" with Wynn Las Vegas resident deejay Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia fame dubbed "musical chef" in charge of Andrea's music program.

VDKA will be open daily beginning at 5 p.m.
