A couple quick updates on Michael Morton's Downtown Mexican project going in near Sixth and Fremont streets. About two weeks ago the man behind La Cave at Wynn Las Vegas and this project said the restaurant would not feature tapas nor would it offer live music. Now comes word that it will not be called Project M either. Brace yourself for the name — La Comida, named for the family meal chefs serve for staff.
Other new tidbits include that it will include an entrance through the alley, dining from a 25-foot cocktail bar, church windows and a window overlooking Sixth Street with bar stools for seating. Vegas Seven also reveals that the menu will include dishes such as street corn, tacos and fresh avocados.
