Tao Raises Funds for Hurricane Sandy Victims; More

VENETIAN — Tao Cares, the charitable arm of Tao Group, is holding a fundraising effort for victims of Hurricane Sandy through today. Tao Asian Bistro & Nightclub, Lavo Italian Restaurant & Nightclub at the Palazzo and Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will donate a portion of restaurant and nightclub sales to the American Red Cross. Tao Asian Bistro and Lavo Italian Restaurant both have special menus where a portion of proceeds go to to recovery and relief efforts. Special menu items at Tao include red curry chicken ($30) with snow peas, eggplant and jasmine rice and the Kobe beef spring roll ($15) with spicy peanut chili sauce. Lavo's menu features porcini mushroom risotto with parmesan frico ($28) and fresh burrata over an arugula salad ($18) with a lemon vinaigrette and pancetta crisp. COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS — Comme Ça has Election Day specials that include specialty cocktails in red and blue to represent the two major political parties. The Impeached cocktail is red and made with white whiskey, peach puree, pom grenadine, lemon and peach bitters. The Lobbyist cocktail is blue and made with lemon, simple syrup, blue curacao and orange bitters. To celebrate the American right to vote, Comme Ça will grill up the Classic American Burger with tomato, American cheese, ketchup, yellow mustard with a side of crispy French fries.
