Cheffinis Hot Dogs found itself shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection Nov. 3 found 19 demerits.
Inspectors discovered no hot and cold running water, inaccurate thermometers and potentially hazardous foods stored at the wrong temperature.
Interestingly, SNHD has no other records of inspections of the food cart, which looks like it opened in Dec. 2010.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
