Status: Soft open with a limited menu tonight; fully open Sunday
The world can finally look inside the incredibly decadent decor of Rattlecan when it opens on Sunday. The burger bar from chef to the chefs Sammy DeMarco and Antonio Ballatore, the winner of season 4 of HGTV's Design Star and The Antonio Treatment, and brings one of the most incredible collections of graffiti art all wrapped inside the new 7,375-square-foot restaurant. The $1.5 million renovation takes over the former Lutece space at the Venetian.
Think Lower East Side Manhattan inside the restaurant that combines Ballatore's killer atmosphere with DeMarco's burgers and shots.
The menu features burgers, burgers and more burgers. DeMarco has a lineup that includes roasted portabellas and onions, brie, balsamic glaze and truffle mayo on a sesame brioche roll as well as the signature burger "The Rattlecan" with cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, pickle, special sauce, crinkle-cut fries and lettuce and tomato.
Rattlecan also has its own crunchy pickles as well as pickled carrots, cauliflower, beets, eggs, tomatoes, peppers, jalapeños, green beans and watermelon.
The restaurant also features the Pickleback shot made with Jameson and pickle juice. Imbibe in one to earn a coin to ride the mechanical pickle. Other drinks include microbrews and American classics with a dozen brews on tap alongside several creative on-tap cocktails on the beer-focused drink menu.
But it's the interior that will catch the breath of guests. Ballatore rounded up all of his graffiti artist friends including Aiko, Krink, HOW, NOSM, Curtis Kulig, KING RUCK, Kenneth Cappello, Richard Duardo and Jersey Joe to make the decor a museum to rattlecan art. Every nook and cranny of the joint features custom murals that will certainly require multiple visits to take them all in.
Rattlecan plans to open daily at 11 a.m. and offers service to the nearby sports book and poker room.
