Word is out that Daniel Boulud will judge the final Culinary Clash at the Venetian on Dec. 21 along with actor Gilles Marini from Brothers & Sisters.
Sebastien Silvestri, the vice president of food and beverage for the Venetian and Palazzo, says Boulud already has db Bistro Moderne at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, another Sands Corp. property. Rumors circulated the Boulud may open a restaurant in the former Charlie Trotter space at the Palazzo after Daniel Boulud Brasserie closed in July 2010 at Wynn Las Vegas after a five-year run.
The Culinary Clash pits chefs from the resort against another in an Iron Chef-type competition complete with a mystery basket of ingredients and food trucks for cooking. Cameras gives guests an inside look at the cooking. Four chefs remain for the competition this Friday night at the Doge Palace at the Venetian where Sammy DeMarco from First Food & Bar and Rattlecan will be among the judges.
