Honey Salt Starts Serving Brunch; New Tropical Smoothie

WESTSIDE — Honey Salt is serving up Hanukkah dishes including co-owner Elizabeth Blau's Grandma Rose's brisket recipe every night with shaved Brussels sprouts and roast potatoes. The restaurant also starts serving brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays with a mix of breakfast fare, sandwiches, pizzas and salads. Look for monkey bread, a weekend fritatta, blueberry pancakes, crunchy Nutella French toast and more. Honey Salt will also have weekly cocktail specials during brunch. [EaterWire]

NORTH LAS VEGAS — Tropical Smoothie Cafe plans to open its 21st location in Vegas on Dec. 17. The new 1,750-square-foot store at 44 W. Craig Road will offer 99-cent smoothies until 11 p.m. North Las Vegas elementary, junior and high schools who have the most students visit through Dec. 21 will each win $500 in cash donations. Students just need to let the cashier know which school they represent.
