More of the lineup of the coming SLS Vegas came out. That is, if SBE can raise an additional $115 million it needs to start on the renovations of the former Sahara. VegasTripping took a look at SBE's new method of raising the funds, an investment tool called EB-5 that gives an investor a chance to apply for U.S. citizenship by investing $500,000 in the project. After five years, the investor can apply for citizenship and get the initial investment back.
But more interesting for food and beverage aficionados is the growing list of nightclubs and restaurants the joint has in the works. The Las Vegas Regional Center C/O American Dream Fund Inc. site contains a whole slew of information on what investors are getting.
Included, 71,650 square feet of space for four SBE-branded nightclubs. Included are the now-defunct Foxtail and Shelter, a speakeasy The Sayers Club and a yet-unnamed club. In total, the nightclubs have a capacity of 5,000. An additional 8,000 square feet of bars and lounges are planned.
On the restaurant side, look for 12 SBE-branded restaurants, including tapas spot The Bazaar by José Andrés, sushi joint Katsuya, Umami Burger, Italian restaurant Mercato di Ventro, hot dog stand Papaya King, pancake house The Griddle Cafe and 800? Neapolitan Pizzeria. The food options take up 43,000 square feet and seat 1,671.
The pool area will feature cabanas, a show stage and a cocktail and snack bar in a 39,150-square-foot area.
