Little Richie's Dogs Popped Up Fast at Treasure Island

In one of the quickest switcheroos in recent local history, the shuttered Vegas outpost of Canter's Deli has already been replaced by Little Richie's Chicago Style Beef & Dogs at Treasure Island. With minimal structural change, Little Richie's has supplanted the deli menu with a focus on Chicago-style hot dogs.

Chicago beef or sausage dogs are priced from $8.99. Added to the mix are "Richie's Frozen Custard," sides including poutine and in an apparent nod to the former tenants, chicken noodle soup.

Unlike Canter's Deli, Little Richie's features counter service and limited seating, but keeps the daily 11 a.m. to midnight opening hours. The former Canter's dining area has been converted into a compact poker room. Fans of Detroit-style dogs can compare and contrast at the first outpost of Detroit's venerable American Coney Island, which opened at the D Las Vegas in October.
