In less than three months of work, Aria has upgraded The Buffet and will be ready to open on Dec. 22 at 7 a.m. With a publicly allocated $3.5 million budget, the 8,800-square-foot buffet has become a lighter, airier space with a more cohesive color palate.
The Buffet overhaul has created an interior more visible to Aria visitors promenading the second floor. The attractive ceiling sculptures have been kept and the light colored woods from the previous incarnation have been expanded to give a more unified look. Former red and blue design accents have given way to a focus on the orange end of the spectrum
Signage directs guests to food stations such as "Sweets" or "Asian" and Aria is aiming to appeal to its international clientele with the addition of the first tandoor oven operating in a Las Vegas restaurant buffet.
Prices sees no dramatic increase and breakfast and lunch are only four cents more expensive than before the remodel. The Buffet is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Breakfast runs $17.99, lunch $20.99 and dinner goes for $31.99. The weekend brunch is available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will cost $27.99. Fridays through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. they have continued their "Gourmet Dinner" and upped the price by $1.04 to $39.99.
