Forget the fiscal cliff. If the Mayan calendar has it right, this Friday is our last day on earth. A cataclysmic series of events leaving a trail of destruction might just mark the end of the world as we know it. Lucky that some bars and restaurants in Las Vegas have come up with some crafty ways to celebrate the end of days with drink and food specials. Here's a look at four.
Commonwealth
Where: 525 E. Fremont St.
What: The new bar in Downtown Las Vegas toasts goodbye with its La Fin du Monde bash on Friday, Dec. 21. Guests can salute the end of the Mayan calendar with the Las Vegas debut of Unibroue's stout Belgian-style tripel, La Fin du Monde, which will be on draft for the first time at Commonwealth. At the stroke of midnight, the bar toasts the end of the world and releases balloons filled with prizes, including a year's worth of the brew.

What: Holsteins Shakes & Buns will be serving a "Mayan End of the World Burger" with yucatan achiote braised pork, pickled onions, jalapeño crema and fried avocado, served with fries for $12.21.

Rí Rá Las Vegas
Where: Mandalay Place
What: celebrate the End of the World on Dec. 21 with drink specials, a Last Meal dinner menu and two toasts – one to celebrate Ireland's survival at 4:01 p.m. PST and a traditional midnight toast when Las Vegas survives at 12:01 a.m. PST on Saturday, Dec. 22. The Last Meal includes beer-Battered zucchini, beef Wellington, rack of lamb, PBJ and milk and chocolate mousse. Guests can order $2 pints of Shock Top's End of the World Midnight Wheat during the party.

PBR Rock Bar
Where: Miracle Mile Shops
What: Guests can "Drink Our Bar Dry" in celebration of the End of the World on Friday, Dec. 21. The Strip-side destination will lower the price of drinks every hour by $1 starting at midnight. Drinks will be priced at $5 at midnight and lower to $4 at 1 a.m.; $3 at 2 a.m.; $2 at 3 a.m.; and 4 a.m. to close all well drinks will cost only $1.
