Pink Box Doughnuts Reveals Their Date with a Nutty Pig

Pink Box mania begins. With a line out the door, chef Rodney Ignacio created 21 doughnut choices for opening day at the new pink Westside pastry joint from Lance Graulich. Initial hours will be from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. with hopes they will extend the closing time and also expand the menu to 25 choices.

Currently, the roster includes "classics" such as glazed, vanilla sugar and buttermilk bar for $1. "Specialty" creme filled are $1.25. Whipped, raspberry or Bavarian creme are part of that mix.

The "gourmet" selection at $1.75 includes the Fat Elvis, comprised of chocolate ganache and banana peanut butter filling, "Date With a Nutty Pig" and Campfire S'mores. A dozen regular will cost you $8.50. Doughnuts are naturally served in a classic pink box.
