Now Rockhouse Sort of Has an Opening Date

At last, the dive bar Rockhouse has a more definite but still flexible opening date at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. Expect the 9,000-square-foot location to open in late January.

The original Rockhouse shut down at the beginning of May as part of the construction for The Linq. Those renovations include a new facade for Imperial Palace, now known as the Quad.

Expect to find drinking games in the daytime and deejays by night. Every wall is lined with 83 flat-screen televisions. Bartenders will swing from tires hanging from the ceiling while dancers find themselves inside birdcages. Pool tables, beer pong tables and a mechanical bull fill out the entertainment.

The two-room venue will feature three bars, cocktail and high-top tables and room for dancing, as well as something new, a food menu.
