Tony Hsieh's Inspire Theatre won't be the only place Downtown to spark your imagination next year. A two-story bar on the ground floor of the Ogden plans to offer a lounge, live music and motivating lecture guests.

The 4,500-square-foot corner space will be adjacent to the forthcoming Rachel's Kitchen and the newly confirmed Slice from New Yorker Miki Agrawal. While a bar, the focus will be an "Inspired Lecture" series of guest speakers. A similar premise guides Zappos honcho Tony Hsieh's under construction Inspire Theatre at the top of Fremont East. Hsieh is a resident of the Ogden.

There's room for 180 downstairs, 26 in a small upstairs section and 1,500-square-feet of proposed, shaded, outside patio.

In addition to the bar, lounge, and scheduled lectures, acoustic guitar or DJs will provide "ambient" accompaniment to the vibe on Wednesdays to Saturdays from 6 to 8 p.m. A similar musical set-up will be offered at Slice, next door.

No name or projected opening date has been revealed for this project, designed by architect Craig Sean Palacios, whose credits include Natalie Young's Eat and also the future Inspire Theatre.
