In one of the lightest days of voting yet, the first woman made it through to the semifinals of the Fourth Annual Eater Hot Chefs Competition. Nicole Grimes of Rao’s at Caesars Palace joins Rick Moonen from RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay, Olivier Dubreuil, Venetian and Palazzo property executive chef, Steve Benjamin of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand, Joseph Leibowitz of Tower Suite Café at Wynn Las Vegas, Anthony Meidenbauer, executive chef for Block 16 Hospitality, and Shawn McClain of Sage at Aria in the semifinals.
Today marks the final of eight rounds of voting. Get your mouse ready to pick your favorite chef. The final contestants — Tom Colicchio of Craftsteak and ‘wichcraft at MGM Grand, David Middleton of Marché Bacchus, Jet Tila, formerly of Wazuzu at Encore Las Vegas and current pop-up dinner star, Travis Herbert of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Rodney Ignacio at Culinary Arts Catering at the Springs Cafe at the Springs Preserve.
