Andrew Zimmern continued his tour of Vegas filming the 100th episode of Bizarre Foods, visiting R.C. Farms and BarMasa at Aria, then headed out with chef Scott Conant from Scarpetta at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. They ate a 12-course dinner at Lotus of Siam, at least according to Zimmern’s Twitter account.
R.C. Farms recycles much of the food waste from casinos and converts it into food for pigs on their farm in North Las Vegas.
At BarMasa, chef Masa Takayama prepared the Masa Toro Roll and the Masa Toro Caviar in the BarMasa kitchen.
Over at Thai restaurant Lotus of Siam, Zimmern tweeted out pics of the crispy salt and pepper prawn, cracklings and vegetables with chili dip, whole-roasted fish with two sauces and duck with basil.
For lunch today, Zimmern stopped by RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay to dine with Rick Moonen, whom Zimmern calls a mentor.
Earlier this week, he checked out the $750 cupcake at Sweet Surrender at the Palazzo, dined at Scarpetta, noshed on the chocolates with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp at Jean-Philippe Chocolates and Pastries at Bellagio, got behind-the-scenes tour of Bellagio with executive chef Edmund Wong, and hung out with Paul Bartolotta at Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare at Wynn Las Vegas.
