Bizarre Foods continues its adventure in Vegas filming for the 100th episode. Yesterday host Andrew Zimmern continued filming, first stopping by RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay to have lunch with chef Rick Moonen. Then he headed over to Fleur at Mandalay Bay to check out some of the swanky dishes with chef Hubert Keller. Next he touted what he called the “meal of the week” at Raku in Chinatown.
Zimmern started his tour of Vegas Monday.
At RM Seafood, he dined on the plateau de mer, grilled cobia over leek risotto, fish and chips, green papaya salad, nigiri sushi and “the crab cake that started it all.”
At Fleur, he had the shoebox of truffles and the Fleur Burger. “Today I had a fun day spending some time with Andrew Zimmern filming the FleurBurger 5000 at Fleur by H.K. at Mandalay Bay and having dinner later with him at Raku, we had a fabulous meal!” Keller posted on his Facebook page.
That meal with Keller at Raku featured the hamachi with yuzu and chili radish, house made tofu, Ikura, uni, cold egg, mushroom, mountain yam, grilled oyster in kombu and grilled chicken with yam, shiso with egg and soy glaze.
Today, Zimmern was spotted back at the Palazzo in the Waterfall Atrium eating crazy foods with contest winners. Think brains, crickets, worms.
