Saber Offs, Remixes and More Vegas Uncork’d Tidbits

More details about the sixth installment of Vegas Uncork’d emerged this afternoon following the kick off in New York today. Earlier we reported that tickets for Vegas Uncork’d went on sale today with 60 restaurants, 50 chefs, 30 sommeliers, 30 events and only four resorts on board including Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Mandalay Bay.

The event kicks off with the VIP Saber-Off at Caesars Palace on Thursday, May 10, with all participating chefs slicing off the tops of Champagne bottles.

Costas Spiliadis will shares his secrets to selecting the highest-quality fish at the market, making fish at home and healthful eating through the Mediterranean diet in an event May 12.

The Kimchi Chronicles brings together Bon Appétit’s Adam Rapoport with Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his wife, Marja, host of PBS’s Kimchi Chronicles, at Bellagio’s Prime Steakhouse for a Q&A lunch May 12.

Rao’s Family Affair offers an Italian brunch with the Pellegrinos on Sunday, May 13 that includes an exclusive preview to their soon-to-be released cookbook, Rao's on the Grill.

More returning faves include After-Hours, the Remix with chefs Alain Ducasse and Hubert Keller along with pastry chef and master chocolatier Vincent Pilon for a late-night party at Mix, the rooftop lounge at Mandalay Bay on Saturday, May 12.
