As we reported earlier this month, Marquee – The Star debuts in Sydney, Australia, in just about a month. In The Mix has a look inside the new 20,000-square-foot nightclub with a 1,200-person capacity inside The Star from the Tao Group. And it sounds very similar to Marquee at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, only Down Under.
The main room features a 30-foot projection stage with an LED DJ booth and two dance floors. Just like Marquee in Vegas, a stylish library-style room offers an intimate lounge experience and a working fireplace, while a smaller room, just like in Vegas called The Boom Box, has its own sound system and outdoor patio. The club features what is dubbed “a chill-out area with unparalleled views of the Sydney skyline and a unisex bathroom lounge.”
And look for some familiar names rocking the decks, In The Mix speculates about the same deejays booked at Marquee Las Vegas, including Kaskade, Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate and Ferry Corsten.
