Du-Par’s Restaurant & Bakery Kitchen at the Golden Gate was shut down Tuesday after receiving 62 demerits during a routine inspection by the Southern Nevada Health District.
The litany of violations at the breakfast joint that routinely has a line of customers out the front door includes food handlers not their washing hands, spoiled food, food not stored at the proper temperature and food not protected from potential contamination. Two previous inspections in the past two years earned the restaurant A grades from the health department.
The SNHD shutters restos that receive more than 40 demerits.
