The Strand Plans to Open in Mid-May at Tivoli Village

A new cocktail lounge and restaurant plans to open in mid-May at Tivoli Village. The Strand promises an apothecary approach to cocktail creations with an eclectic lineup of live entertainment and a "gastro-tourism" menu that covers a variety of ethnic influences.

The bi-level setting will feature plush décor, eclectic art and private entertainment spaces. The name The Strand harkens back to the iconic theaters, supper clubs and live music venues of the ’20s, ’30s and ’40s.

Cocktail chefs will prep each drink by infusing a combination of fresh, organic, sweet and savory ingredients to create distinctive cocktails. The menu will features small plate dishes inspired by Asian, Brazilian, Italian and French cuisine.

The joint plans to be open Sundays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m.
