A Cooking Fiesta at El Segundo Sol; Wine Walk

FASHION SHOW — El Segundo Sol is holding a cooking fiesta from 10 a.m. to noon on March 31 with executive chef Terry Lynch. He plans to demonstrate dishes such as chips and roasted tomato-serrano salsa, Oaxacan chicken in mole negro and quesadilla with mushroom, sweet corn and hiutlacoche. LAKE LAS VEGAS — The Village Lake Las Vegas is holding its Toast to the Town wine walk at 7 p.m. on March 31 to benefit nonprofit group New Vista Community. Southern Wine & Spirits and Lee's Discount Liquor plan to present a special evening of wines, cocktails, beers and cuisine sampling by restaurant partners. Fazel is featuring Hawaiian blue prawns in a garden vegetable minestrone on black forbidden rice and Canadian Skuna Bay salmon, pan-roasted and served on organic farro pilaf and Mediterranean succotash in the spring and summer.
