The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Best of Las Vegas, also known as the best of mediocrity, came out yesterday, and predictably, readers picked winners such as Red Lobster for best seafood restaurant, Olive Garden for best Italian restaurant and Outback Steakhouse for best steakhouse. Even P.F. Chang’s China Bistro made best Chinese restaurant. Among the dining winners, nothing came from the Strip.
Only in the nightclub category did the Strip win out, with Marquee, Pure and Tabú Ultra Lounge getting shout outs from readers. Stoney’s Rockin’ Country was voted best place to dance, Blue Martini best singles bar and PT’s Goldpub best sports bar.
