Slice of Vegas, the new pizzeria debuting April 6 at Mandalay Place, gave Eater Vegas a sneak peak at some of the items on its new menu. The restaurant is the second from Titan, which also owns Hussong’s Cantina just a short walk from Slice.
Chef Devin Murchin and Titan’s executive chef Noe Alcala plan to serve a New York-style crust on their pizzas as well as calzones, fresh pastas and salads. Look for mushroom ragu pizza, four cheese and truffle pizza and prosciutto and pesto pizza among the options. The restaurant plans to serve gluten-free dough on request as well as vegan and vegetarian dishes.
On the bruschetta front, look for toppings such as traditional roasted peppers and garlic, an olive tapenade and a fennel-infused parmigiano-reggiano cheese with a bulb of roasted garlic and bread.
On the cocktail list look for classic Italian drinks such as Hey Sugar Lips, a cocktail made with Grey Goose L’Orange, Caravella Orangecello, Funkin Sweet and Sour in a sugar-rimmed martini glass. The Crown Martini features a blend of Crown Royal, Cinzano Sweet Vermouth, bitters, a splash of Luxardo and seasoned black cherry. Slice’s twist on the Bellini is the Frozen Belodkaberry with a mixture of peaches, raspberry and vodka.
Every Sunday through Thursday, the restaurant features a happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. with half-price appetizers, draft beer and cocktails at the bar. On Sundays, look for half off red and white sangria. Marinara Mondays features $5 spaghetti with marinara and $5 for half carafes of Chianti. All wines by the bottle are half off on Wednesdays. And Tuesdays and Thursdays feature $2 cheese slices and $2 PBR drafts for two hours starting at 2 p.m.
