Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation returns to Las Vegas Thursday, May 17, with a bevy of chefs raising funds to end childhood hunger in the Las Vegas Valley and across the nation.
The event takes place at Rain Nightclub at the Palms from 7 to 9:30 p.m. with a VIP reception beginning at 6 p.m.
Chef Carlos Guía of The Country Club at Wynn Las Vegas heads up Taste of the Nation. Restaurants on board include Fleur by Hubert Keller at Mandalay Bay, Alizé at the Palms, Society Café at Encore Las Vegas, Scarpetta at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, N9NE Steakhouse and Nove Italiano at the Palms, Sushi Roku at the Forum Shops at Caesars, and Tao Asian Bistro and Lavo at the Venetian and Palazzo. Nibbles are paired with wines and cocktails.
A silent auction and live auction are hosted by television personalities Denise Valdez and Molly Sullivan.
VIPs can participate in a champagne reception and early entrance to the event where they can mix and mingle with the chefs. All VIP guests will receive a gift bag to take away from the event with fun gifts from local businesses and retailers.
Vegas charities that will benefit from this year’s event include Three Square Food Bank, Catholic Charities of Las Vegas, UNCE Chefs for Kids and Project MANA. Since 1988, Taste of the Nation has raised more than $70 million for organizations in the United States, Canada and abroad, including almost $1 million in Las Vegas alone.
