Yowza. Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas racked up a stunning 40 demerits from the Southern Nevada Health District, one point from being shut down, during a re-inspection May 13.
Inspectors found no hand washing, food not properly cooled, foods not stored at proper temperatures during storage and display and more during the inspection.
During a previous inspection July 7, 2011, the restaurant only had three demerits, and all inspections online show A grades dating back to 2003. Twice the restaurant has been inspected for epidemiological investigations in 2006 and 2003, but in each case the restaurant received an A grade.
The SNHD shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits.
