The James Beard Foundation is making a stop in Vegas next month with its Celebrity Chef Tour. On May 15, chefs Bruce and Eric Bromberg from Blue Ribbon Sushi & Grill at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas host Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto in New York City and Sandy Tuason of Mauna Lani Bay & Resort in Hawaii for a dinner benefiting the foundation.
The evening includes passed appetizers, family-style entrees such as lobster salad, a sushi and sashimi platter and ribs, wings and rice. A steak and potatoes course is followed by dessert. Each course is paired with wines.
The last time the JBF was in Vegas, the group announced the finalists for the JBF awards, and every Vegas nominee was left off the list. The dinner comes on the heels of the awards announcement on May 7 in New York City.
Tickets for the dinner go for $150. Visit www.celebritycheftour.com to snag them. [EaterWire]
