Halibut, Soft Shell Crabs, Hawaiian Food and More

FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS — Joe’s Stone Crab now has halibut from the Gulf of Alaska. Joe’s is serving a bone-in halibut seasoned with lemon pepper and lemon olive oil, then broiled, before being finished with lemon olive oil and parsley. Two versions, 10 ounces and 16 ounces are on the lunch and dinner menu respectively. [EaterWire]

CALIFORNIA HOTEL — Get your fill of Hawaiian food during the 15th Annual Lei Day Polynesian Festival May 5-6. Dishes on hand include a kalua pig, lau lau, poi, beef teriyaki sticks and hot malasadas. [EaterWire]

EMERIL LAGASSE RESTOS — Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian, Table 10 at the Palazzo and Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand celebrate the start of soft shell crab season and the Jazz Fest in New Orleans with a steady rotation of crab dishes daily April 22-28 for lunch and dinner. Sample dishes include a soft shell crab sandwich and crispy soft shell crabs at Delmonico, soft shell crab sliders and grilled soft shell crabs at Table 10 and a soft shell crab BLT and macadamia crusted soft shell crab at Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House. CAESARS PALACE —  Central Michel Richard now serves up a special Absinthe menu to go along with the show. For $45 per person, nab $20 off tickets for the show, and guests who show their tix post-show get 20 percent off dinner. The prix fixe menu begins with the AbsinTini, made with Lucid Absinthe, Melon Liquor, lime and a splash of ginger ale. The first course selections include Richard’s signature bacon and onion tart, deviled eggs or the mixed green salad. The second course showcases Central’s fried chicken with smashed potatoes, pan-seared salmon with succotash or the crab burger with Ginger mayo.
